Illustrations inspired by the great outdoors

Hi! I’m a Portland-based graphic designer and illustrator . . . and an avid hiker. I spend my work day creating publications, maps, infographics, and signage for a long list of clients.

But on weekends, I like getting hiking the forests and wide open spaces of Oregon and Washington. Those trails inspire my art. Using my computer skills I create these digital, vector-based drawings done with Adobe Creative Suite. I use the pencil tool to draw a line, or the pen tool to draw a series of points that I fill with color. It’s very laborious work! But I love the crisp, clean shapes and the super saturated colors the digital process provides.
