So so nice to be traipsing through a wet, mossy, very typical Oregon forest after way too many months without rain. This little trail is near Astoria so if you’re headed there (as we were for fish ‘n’ chips) it’s a nice spot t

Lovely fall hike up to Mirror Lake on Mt Hood. Poor mountain needs some snow! Love the boardwalk through the grasses and also love favorite daughter @lilasimm for coming with me. We saw some fall color, fields of fireweed, some late blooming flowers

My calendar is almost ready ! Well it’s at the printer anyway. I finally finished that last pesky drawing, you can see how it turned out here~it’s the September illustration, Indian Beach. It turned out pretty good (if I do say so myself)

Our beautiful, 100-year-old Douglas Fir died. Unclear why, probably climate change. It had to come down.

My telescope did a pretty good job of capturing the very cool, very long lunar eclipse last night. It was so clear in Portland!
