Here’s another of my new scenic illustrations, it’s Smith Rock State Park. Famous for rock climbing (duh, look at those rocks!) but there are also lots of hiking trails. In Central Oregon not far from Bend, that’s the Crooked River

Another year of Dragon Boat Races is over and done! We didn’t do as well as in some years but we still had a blast. No matter where we finish we tried our best. This year we welcomed two new paddlers and a new flag catcher, check out Aysha&rsqu

Mother’s Day Hike this year was Weldon Wagon Woad. Lots of Mt Hood views! We do this hike the same time every year and the yellow balsam roots are usually in full bloom and the hills are blazing yellow. Not this year! Thanks to a very warm, dry

Beautiful new illustration from moi, the Twilight Eagle Sanctuary is on the lower Columbia River. We always stop on our way home from Astoria (and yummy fish and chips) but honestly we’ve never seen any eagles here! I had to find an eagle photo

A very sweet little nature park just south of Oregon City on the bluffs above the Willamette River, Canemah was an early riverboat community, the name comes from the Chinook word for canoe, “canim.” Love this view north towards Mt St Hele

Yes the balsamroots are blooming in the Columbia River Gorge, blanketing the hills with yellow. So beautiful!

And the finale of the hike, a cotton candy blizzard. So yummy!

We’re baaack! Dragon Boat season has begun. We love the evening practice, it’s just the best to see all the light reflections on the beautiful Willamette River. Also my team is the best, including my Jensen cousin Cheri who helps tell us

Portland shows up . . . again. So hard to capture all the incredible signs whilst marching and carrying one’s own sign but here are some. And a show of our beautiful cherry trees on the waterfront.
