Grassy Knoll Trail and Mt. Hood.
This trail includes a wildflower bonanza AND views of the Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood. It also has excellent vistas over the Big Lava Bed to the east, and then continues through a series of meadows to the summit of Grassy Knoll, where you can find remnants of a historic fire lookout established in 1934. If you want more wildflowers, continue on to Grassy Pass.
The trail used to be part of the Cascade Crest Trail, the original Pacific Crest Trail route, before it was moved to its modern location.
