Twilight Eagle Sanctuary, on the Lower Columbia River

This beautiful view is the Columbia River estuary a few miles outside of Astoria, a very old town we love to visit for the fish 'n' chips. On the way home we drive down the river and swing by this eagle sanctuary just off the highway, hoping to see some eagles (have never!). This view is north across the river, the hills are in Washington. Check out the huge container ships out in the river!
