Tom McCall Wildflower Preserve

Tom McCall was a governor of Oregon, he was very instrumental in preserving our natural spaces. He created the Oregon Beach Bill which made all beaches, for the entire length of the state, open to the public. He also helped preserve this really beautiful spot in the Columbia Gorge. Can you believe those sunflowers? Actually they’re called arrowleaf balsamroots. So now you know. The hills of the Gorge are overflowing with these yellow beauties in the Spring. It’s worth a drive!
