Hug Point

$30.00
Only 2 available

This little sandy cove beach is under water when the tide is high. Lots of little inland seas are left behind as the water recedes, so it’s good for tide pooling. In the background is Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach, you can walk there when the tide is this low. Look closely and note the tiny figure in the middle of the drawing standing on the rocks. He’s walking along the old stagecoach road. Before the highway was built this was the route north and south along the coast! You can still see the ruts carved into the rock. Pioneers traveling along the “road” had to “hug” the headland carefully, thus the name.

Prints are on acid-free, archival paper and are printed locally in my neighborhood in Northeast Portland.

I have this in one size, can order larger sizes if you want. Email me!

$30 for 8 × 10, image is 5 × 7

You see my dilemma.
